Collaborative Working

The NTSH works in collaboration with a variety of providers across nursery, primary and secondary schools within Northampton and Northamptonshire. Impartial advice and support are offered to explore what your teacher training options are along with the training providers that are available in the area where you live or where you would wish to work.  

Collaboration across the Northamptonshire Teaching School Hub area and with the other training providers in the area is developing. This collaboration ensures the trainees receive the best possible training and support which enables them to become high quality teachers for our local schools.  

Northampton and Northamptonshire are diverse areas providing opportunities to gain work and experience in different types of schools in different contexts including good and outstanding schools, special schools and specialist schools. There are many routes into teaching and providers to choose from offering you training which will suit your individual circumstances.  

We also work with teaching school hubs in the wider Midlands region to ensure all teacher training provision is high quality.  

Northampton has excellent transport links to London and Birmingham and combines the convenience of a modern town and rural tranquillity. It has a range of popular amenities including annual events such as a Beer Festival, the Northampton Festival and the Balloon Festival which makes it attractive to commuters and travellers.  

NTSH since its inception has had a high rate of success with our trainee teachers gaining employment in a wide range of schools. Since September 2023, NTSH has piloted the new quality standards for ITT and Intensive Training and Practice (ITAPs) are embedded into the programme.
