Northamptonshire Teaching School Hub is a DfE-designated centre of excellence for teacher and leader development. Our mission is to grow teacher and leader expertise in every school, to benefit every child.

This year, we welcomed 18 new teachers into the profession through our SCITT programme, who achieved Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE. With a high-quality support & mentorship, carefully mapped placements and clear, accessible routes into teaching, we continue to grow a sustainable pipeline of high-quality future teachers.

Through the delivery of the outgoing Early Career Framework (ECF), we supported 473 Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and 312 ECT Mentors. Alongside this, our Appropriate Body (AB) service supported 633 ECTs through their statutory induction. Delivered in collaboration with over 330 schools, this work ensures early career teachers receive consistent, expert-led support as they begin their professional journey. From September, we look forward to launching the new and improved ECTE for our early career teacher, find out more here.

Supported 276 teachers and leaders to grow their expertise and leadership through our suite of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs). This year, we were pleased to welcome the NPQ for SENCOs, our ninth programme, replacing the NASENCo as the mandatory award for practising SENCOs.

Thanks to our valued partnerships, together, we are shaping a stronger future for education across the county.
